The 31 year old hull city marksman will be back again, after appearing in the last 2 editions after helping his country to pip the third position at the last edition in Equatorial Guinea after a penalty shootout. He will undoubtedly be the man to watch for the DR Congo, do the goalscoring job and once again carry his team further than in 2015.

Mohammed Salah – Egypt
The 24year old striker has been in form since last season and is expected to lead the frontline again for the Pharaohs. He will be the man expected to put the ball at the back of the net. The former Chelsea man is one of the talents expected to make a mark for Egypt in Gabon.
Andre Ayew – Ghana
Ghana’s Andre Ayew, the West Ham United man hasn’t been his best recently for his club as a result of injuries. The midfielder hasn’t featured much recently for club and country but is expected to be the star man for the black stars in this year’s Afcon.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Bundesliga top scorer is expected to continue his goal harvest at home. The 27-year old man already has 16 goals in his name for Dortmund. He is the man all eyes will be on in Gabon and the team is fortunate to have a star man in Emerick.
Bakary Sakho – Mali
After featuring in Mali’s two group matches in Equatorial Guinea during the last edition, the Crystal Palace man will be expected to lead his nation to glory. The 28 year old winger will be enjoying his second Afcon appearance Gabon.
Clinton Njie – Cameroon
He scored on his debut for Cameroon against DR Congo on the 6th of September 2014. Njie continued his strong form for Cameroon by scoring once against Thailand and a brace against Burkina Faso in June 2015.
Joao Mario Fernandes – Guinea Bissau
The 23year old chaves striker is expected to have his debut in this year’s Afcon for his home nation Guinea Bissau and much is expected from him. Hopes are high and there is confidence in camp that he can lead his name to finish well in the tournament.
Aymen Abdennour – Tunisia

Wilfred Zaha – Ivory Coast
The 24 year old palace attacker has been in blistering form for his club. He made his debut for the English national team in 2012. But switched his allegiance to the Ivory Coast ahead of this month’s afcon. He is expected to continue his red hot form from his club crystal palace.
Emmanuel Adebayor – Togo
Emmanuel Adebayor, the 32year old striker is actually unattached at the moment in club level. But still has rich experience when it comes to the afcon. He will be the man to get them the results in Gabon.
Faruku Miya – Uganda
The Standard Liege youngster plays a key role in his country’s successful qualification campaign, netting the winner in the crucial victory over Comoros that saw them seal their ticket for Gabon. This AFCON could be the moment Miya really breaks through and catches the eye of the footballing world.
Khama Billiat – Zimbabwe
The 26-year old midfielder currently plays for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa and was named the Player of the Year in 2015 in the South Africa league. He heads to the AFCON with the weight of his country on his shoulders and any surprise will be down to Billiat.
